“Hack for Global Good is a powerful opportunity to engage young, motivated individuals to assess and address real, global environmental challenges. Equal parts science project, policy development, and business proposal, the Hack provides participants with an intensive team-building opportunity to collaborate on creative, inspirational solutions with real potential to benefit humanity.”
Hank Webster, Acadia
"I had been looking for this type of opportunity and it was such an amazing experience! Seeing all the creative problem solving in such a short amount of time was very impressive and it was a privilege to be able to lend my support to the groups as a mentor. "
Owen, Mentor 2019
"Volunteering as a mentor for the Global Good Hackathon was one of the best decisions I have made. This was such an enriching experience for me and the other mentors. This event was well organized and brought together such a wide variety of voices and perspectives. Thanks again for hosting this important, collaborative, creative event! As a very eco-conscious individual, I deeply appreciated seeing high schoolers addressing local and global issues about our planet's health. It gave me some hope for our future!"
Ailsa, Mentor 2019
"I think the students learned how to scope a problem and be comfortable with solving a grand problem. I think they learned how to communicate with each other and how to listen to each other. Having such a focused time period to work on an idea in an environment where there are no grades, no assignments but instead mentors, whiteboards, and the mission to think big is the ideal seeding ground for great ideas to come."
